Bus

Depending on where you live, the bus system may be slightly different. This is how most buses work in Kyoto.
  1. Enter from the rear (take a ticket if it is a "non-flat fare route")
  2. When you hear the name of your stop, push the "next stop" button
  3. Pay at the front when you get off (if on a "non-flat fare route"  your fare will depend on the number of your ticket). Deposit money and numbered ticket (if applicable) into the farebox.

NOTE: Make sure you use the exact amount because you will not get change.  There is usually a change machine next to the fare box.
