Speaking
Daily interactions in Japan alone will do wonders for your speaking skills. However, it's always a nice idea to build your skills and be able to have deeper conversations with those around you. Other than finding Japanese classes in your community, another way to practice your speaking is through language exchange apps. The resources mentioned below are not only for Japanese, but for most all other languages.
Again, keep in mind that language exchange works best when it’s paired with other learning methods. Since a language partner likely isn’t a teacher, they won’t be able to teach you the language, but rather will act as a resource and supplement to your other learning methods.

HelloTalk
A language and cultural exchange social network where you can practice casual conversation. You indicate the language(s) that you know and the language(s) that you want to learn, and you’re presented with many potential language exchange partners. You can choose your preferred communication method: text, voice message, video chat, or even doodle!
HelloTalk is free to use, but some features can only be accessed with a subscription.
HiNative
Along with its Q&A specialization, HiNative also allows you to make recordings and have native speakers listen to and provide feedback on your pronunciation.
HiNative is free to use, but some features can only be accessed with a subscription.
Meetup
Meetup is an app that connects you with groups of people in your area who regularly meet over a common hobby or interest. The language learning groups tend to fall into two categories: conversation groups and culture groups. By browsing the "Language and Culture" section, you can find conversation groups in your area whose entire purpose is to meet up and practice speaking Japanese with each other. This is usually a reoccurring meet up at the same time and place, but is less formal than Japanese language classes.
Meetup is free to join, but requires a small fee to RSVP to events. Event and group organizers also pay a monthly subscription fee.
**With any online platform, please be careful and do not share any personal identifying information. Only move outside the app if you are completely comfortable with your language exchange partner.**
