While some of these options are cheaper than others, none of them are really "cheap" per se. It is best to take a hard look at what you own in advance and decide if it would be better to ship, sell, or throw out your items.
Shipping Services:
If you don't have a lot to ship, you may want to look into paying for an extra bag on your airline because it may be cheaper than the options below.
- Research and choose the option that best fits your needs.
- Consider sending items early to save time and money.
- Pay close attention to weight, size, content restrictions, and customs regulations for each shipping service as well as your home country.
- Note the potential for delays and suspensions.
- Take pictures and notes of everything, and consider insurance.

Airport Luggage Forwarding Services
It may be difficult to travel to the airport with heavy luggage, but luckily there are a few companies that offer suitcase shipments to your airport of departure. After sending your suitcase to the airport, you can pick them up at the designated counter of the shipping company you are using. The counters are located on the departure and/or arrival floors of the airport terminal.

Reservations are necessary. Allow enough time for your suitcases to be picked up and delivered on time to the airport. Consult the company at least a week in advance of your departure.
